What to Expect
Professional Instruction

Train with accomplished dancers and choreographers who bring real-world experience, creativity, and passion to every class. Our instructors are dedicated to teaching, enriching, and encouraging dancers at every level.

Multiple Dance Styles

Experience 3-6 classes throughout the day in various genres including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and more. Each class is designed to challenge you in fresh ways while building confidence and skill.

Meet & Greet

Connect with instructors during dedicated meet-and-greet sessions. Ask questions, get advice, and learn from professionals who are passionate about dance education.

No Competition, Just Growth

There are no scores, no adjudications, no pressure—just a full day of learning, inspiration, and making new friends who share your passion for dance.

Mock Auditions

Participate in a professional mock audition with a talent agency representative. Learn a brief dance combination, perform in small groups, and discover what it takes to succeed in real auditions. Our talent agents also discuss the business of dance and may even select dancers for special opportunities with TRDC!

Age Groups & Schedule
Mini Dancers
(ages 8 and under)

3 Classes | Shorter Day Schedule
A fun, age-appropriate introduction to convention training with a mix of genres designed for younger dancers.

Junior & Teen Dancers
(ages 9 and up)

5-6 Classes | Full Day Schedule
An intensive, exciting day of training across multiple genres with professional instructors.

What to Bring
Dress Code: Form-fitting dance wear that allows instructors to see proper body alignment. Hair should be pulled back securely.
  • Multiple pairs of dance shoes (ballet, jazz, sneakers for hip hop)

  • Comfortable dance attire for various styles

  • Water bottle

  • Snacks/lunch

  • Towel

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn!

Typical Day Structure:

8am - Check-in & Registration

9am - Opening/Warm-up

9.30am-12.30pm - Morning Classes

12.30-1.30pm - Lunch Break

1.30-4.30pm - Afternoon Classes

4.30-5.30pm - Mock Auditions & Q&A

5.30pm- Closing/Awards

FAQs
  • Parents are welcome to observe from designated viewing areas. We ask that you remain quiet during classes to minimize distractions.

  • 8-year-olds may choose either the Mini or Junior division based on their experience level and stamina. Contact us for guidance.

  • Dancers should bring their own lunch and snacks. Water stations will be available throughout the venue.

  • While we encourage full participation, we understand conflicts arise. Please notify us in advance.

  • No, conventions are completely optional and separate from our competitions.
